German Mora Venegas, or Zio to his friends, is from Caracas, Venezuela and works at
the Saatchi & Saatchi network as illustrator and designer. He achieved his degree of
Illustrator after four years of study at Rome in Italy.
He loves drawing and reading comics, and has been drawing a Linda Danvers-like character
for 12 years now, and even has his own 48 page comic. His first comic book was a Supergirl
story, and he has loved the character for many years.
His style of drawing Supergirl came about when Superman was transformed into his electric
blue persona. At the time, Wizard magazine held a contest to "design your own
Superman costume", and German decided to try a blend of the old costume and the new
one, but for Supergirl instead!
The pictures presented here are of his New-Millenium Supergirl. Zio does these sketches as
a fan, but if any of you out there feel that you could use his talents, visit his own
website and send him a message. Personally, I believe that Zio is an astounding artist,
and can have a great future in the comics industry!
